no contradiction. You didn’t read what I wrote. Of course Russia wants high oil prices but given the increased production from the US and from SA, that isn’t happening, is it?
High oil is a Petro Dollar policy.

The petrodollar isn’t a policy, it’s an arrangment and the actual cost of oil is not really a function of the arrangment. Oil must be purchased with US federal reserve notes whether the cost of oil is high or low. The actual price is irrelevant as far as the arrangment is concerned. What is important from a western capitalist’s/banker’s persepctive is that foreign countries must maintain large reserves of US federal resere notes in order to purchase oil.

Here’s a thought: Destroy ISIS. Then pull out 100% from the Middle East. Stop choosing sides. Stop the damage we have done. Let the rest destroy each other or make their own peace.
Restrict immigration from those nations to zero. Protect our borders and ports.
Produce our own oil. Pay more for energy. But stop throwing defense money and personnel into the Middle East.
