Russia isn't going to take on Turkey in any conventional sense. They will likely cut off energy supplies and bomb the Turkmen areas near the Turkish border, but inside Syria. If there were any massive Turkish attack, Russia would likely use nukes to reply, but that is not likely IMO.

According to this article at zerohedge, Turkey recieves 57% of it's natural gas from Russia. That's a LOT of people/industry in Turkey that could have their power cut.
