Your college Catalog is like a contract.
It will list mandatory classes, as of your enrollment date.
You should know, beforehand, what awaits you.
Therefore, don’t go there.
But ... if they add such a requirement - I agree.
Oh I get that. I’m saying I would have never enrolled in any school with such a requirement and I would have transferred had they attempted to impost it on me.
I’m in the middle of helping my daughter select a college right now. She has the opportunity to go most anywhere, including Ivy League schools. We are looking closely at these kinds of things. I don’t think she has to go to a university where I would agree with everything she’s taught and I trust her to be discerning and remain true to her Christian values. That said, I don’t want her to feel like she is under siege for four years either.
