Sounds like a better goal than Obama's promise to help the middle class and then jacking up the debt so high that everyone becomes poor, except for his friends.
As an aside, Mother Teresa once said that poverty comes in many forms, including spiritual impoverishment. I think that is very, very true.
From a material world perspective, IMHO there is absolute poverty, and relative poverty. Differentiating between those is very important.
The happiest I’ve been in life have been times when I’ve felt I was doing something positive, and when I felt like I was living somewhat the way God would want me to live. Ironically, amongst the times in my life that I have been anxious and not happy are those times when I’ve bought something I didn’t need. ‘Shopping therapy’ doesn’t work for me..
