During this week of Thanksgiving, we pause to express our deepest gratitude to You for being our God. How thankful we are that You never change, that You are the God of grace and glory, and no good thing do You withhold from those who walk uprightly before You. Father, without You, our lives would be in complete disarray and chaos. Without You, we would have no purpose. Without You, we would have no direction and no hope. Father, we thank You for being our immortal, invisible, God always wise. Blessed is Your holy and awesome Name.
Lord, this week we also remember our troops who are away from home during these important holidays. We ask You to grant them Your peace and Your comfort. And we pray for their families---that they would be comforted and helped by those whom You send to assist them. Thank You for the wonderful young men and women who are serving this nation. Protect them each and every day, Lord, and bring them home in safety and in good health.
Father, we are grateful for our country as well as the country of Israel. Guard her walls and borders, Lord, and help her people to be led to You by those who are sharing the Gospel with them.
Lord, we enter into Your gates with thanksgiving and into Your courts with praise. We are thankful unto You, and we bless Your Name. For Lord, You are good. Your mercy is everlasting, and Your truth endures unto all generations. We pray this in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
