Islam falls out of that protection (or should) because it’s text AND interpreters unambiguously encourage the killing, persecution and enslavement of non-believers.
Until those passages are renounced and removed by the ideologies major leaders they can not be trusted and can not fall under Constitutional protections.
At that point, it would no longer be Islam.
Since it also encourages the believers to LIE about anything in order to further islamic conquest you could never believe them if they DID ‘renounce’ the icky parts of islam.
