ANKARA (AFP) -

Turkish warplanes have carried out a new wave of air strikes on northern Iraq in the latest assault on suspected targets of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), the army said Saturday.

Shelters and supply points of the PKK in northern Iraq, including its Qandil mountain stronghold, in the raids late Friday, it said.

The military did not give further details but the state-run Anatolia news agency said the operation involved 22 fighter jets and that 23 targets were hit.

Turkey has for four months been waging a relentless campaign against the PKK in the country's southeast and in northern Iraq, while the group has ended a ceasefire it had declared in 2013.

The PKK has waged a three-decade insurgency that has claimed tens of thousands of lives, initially seeking independence for Kurdish-populated Turkey although now the focus has shifted to seeking greater rights for the Kurdish minority.

Turkey and Obama are furious with the Russians who are bombing the primary source of ISIS’ operating funds-—their stolen oil production facilities and the means they use to transport it to their buyers. And the buyers, of course, are the cronies of Turkey’s Islamist president Erdogan. The Kurds are making substantial inroads against ISIS on the ground and Erdogan and Obama want that to be hindered. All the preceding is, of course, IMHO.

In the beginning there was a approval by Zero, the Hildabwast, Turkey and Qatar to rid the world of the Strong men . The Libyan adventure led to the mess in Mali the other nite. The Democrats decided that more murder was needed so they made the mess in Syria. That spilled back into Iraq an AQI became ISIS. That gave us Paris. Bush's fault.

Did we provide air cover for them so the Russians don’t protect the Kurds?

It seems like Turkey’s main concern is to kill our Kurdish allies.

Arm the Kurds, recognize Kurdistan.

“Turkey and Qatar to rid the world of the Strong men”

This the same Qatar that has a hereditary monarchy and is run as a strict wahabbist state?

Notice how the democrat press will name Qatar as the bad actor but never us. We never have leaders that fail. This group always has a plan when the last one fails.
