H bombs use the TellerâUlam configuration in which a fission trigger explosion generates radiation, heat, and pressure that initiate a fusion process, which is then boosted by additional fission. Yet, even if one has the design and specifications, making such a bomb requires exotic materials and complicated engineering with absurdly small tolerances. There is some doubt that Israel has accomplished this. That being so, their nuclear inventory may consist only of atomic bombs, no doubt of evolved design, and perhaps with some layered with deuterium compounds to enhance neutron output.
I will bow to your obvious superior knowledge, thank you for taking the time to educate me. I will just say that there are lots of very bright people in Israel (and lots of good spies too) . :-)
