Premier's new 'electric' cars run on coal

Greens are hailing this as the spear-point of their green energy revolution.
But the Premier’s green cars will run on...coal.
Electric cars need large batteries, which have to be recharged.
Maybe the Premier has a large subsidized solar panel on the roof of her garage, so that when she comes home, she can recharge the big battery?
But the sun does not shine at night, so the car will still rely on electricity from coal.

Ouch, that hurts. Kinda like the tesla Z-row emmissions vehicles. Except the manufacturing process of components, lubricants, tires, etc, etc, etc. Oh, and charging stations. But at least the owners 'feel' better and isn't that what really matters?

Ummm....ALL electric cars run on coal. Well, most. Some run on oil or nuclear. Gotta charge those batteries somehow.
