A Minneapolis man has now been charged after a man was fatally shot outside of a North Minneapolis church back in October.
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office says 20-year-old Jontrel Marquise Bolden was charged with second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Elija Larkin. Bolden was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Prosecutors say a warrant for Bolden's arrest was issued on Oct. 23, and he was arrested in Chicago earlier this month. Bolden made his first court appearance Tuesday, where bail was set at $1 million.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 18.
The shooting happened Oct. 14 outside of New Bethel Baptist Church, located at 1115 30th Ave. N.
According to the criminal complaint, Larkin and Bolden both got off buses near Emerson and 30th Avenues North, and they got into an argument when they saw each other. Surveillance video shows Bolden firing about six shots at Larkin, according to the complaint.
Police say Larkin made his way to the church and then collapsed inside.
About 100 people were involved with a Loaves and Fishes program inside the church at the time of the shooting; no one inside was hurt.
Nope, here is what they are doing, blocking the PD gates so officers can’t get in or out.

Yep, this is going to happen every time a black male is killed by the police. Lies, stupid demands, it will never end...until the quiet folks finally speak up.
On the 24th, these clowns will be back in Ferguson protesting the anniversary of the no bill on Wilson.
And I heard today the new Ferguson Police Chief is retiring Dec. 1st.
I don’t blame him.
That's hell?
Looks like a whole lot of white kids chanting and hanging out.
Appears that the BLM crowd brought their own mace.
Nope, there was a incident recently in a neighboring agency where a kid shot at the officers then committed suicide. The family and the BLM are adamant that the Ferguson police murdered the kid. The chief has had to deal with these rabid dogs for weeks with their crazy, he is just done with it, I am sure.
BLM will not rest until the Ferguson PD is no more. Then they will just move on to the next one.
And people wonder why no one wants to be cops anymore.
We’ve got our own little Ferguson building in MPLS right now.
Hopefully, the coming cold weather will keep it from the suburbs.
If not, we’re prepared.
Sorry you have to deal with it, it changed St. Louis immensely.
Wait till your legislators start passing stupid and emotional bills to placate these folks...
I’m planning a LOA this winter to attend legislature meetings.
Wish us luck!
Such a nice Lutheran name. Is it Swedish or Norwegian?
‘can
You got it, watch those legislators close, we wound up with an omnibus bill called SB 5.
The Ferguson Commission is going to push even more sweeping legislation. Legislators in other states will get copies to study to craft their own bills.
Stockholm Syndrome
What was the story with Jamar again? I recall a thread some time ago that mentioned that incident but don’t remember the details.
He beats up his g/f, then fights with the medics and then the police, and then it gets muddy. He is shot by police but the police story is he went for the officer or another officers gun and that is why he was shot.
The local NAACP reported he was shot in handcuffs. So now the chant is handcuffed, don’t shoot.
This will be determined to be a fabrication as well.
Not confirmed positively but allegedly this is the girlfriend

If so, the guy is no loss to humanity...and if he or anyone wants their day in court, then don’t fight with the police.
It’s going into the 20’s in Mpls. tonight. Bring in the pump trucks and give them a sprinkling....they’ll go home.
Worthless bunch of whiners. Take names, and bill them for the damage to public property. Drain their EBT accounts.
