Harry was a “bag man” for certain Las Vegas mob guys in the 70’s and early 80’s. He was friends with Mustang Ranch Conforte, and several others. He buried real estate payoffs under DBA’s, limited versus general partnerships, and shell corporations.
Harry Reid got rich the same way Obama is.
