I NEVER found Mel Brooks’ humor funny. I know I’m in the minority on that, but all of his stuff was just crude and stupid.

Mel had talented friends like Carl Reiner and Sid Caesar. Mel couldn’t shine their shoes, talent-wise.

But that’s what was funny about it. Of course, I’m a musician, and we’re noted for having somewhat twisted senses of humor. I’ve told awful jokes to people who just didn’t get it! It was the fact that some people thought those jokes were funny was what was actually funny.
