A cartoon shows a man gleefully drinking Champagne as it pours out of holes in his body.

That is not the right attitude
To: MAKOTHEDOG
Yes, it carries a peculiar
subtext, but it’s definitely French!

Too late Charlie. You dumped on Pam Geller. Now no one is “Charlie” any more.

I was never Charlie hebdo. I don't find them the least bit funny or clever. I don't know how such a rag stays in business, let alone have offices, and staff...
The definition of a f-king suicidal moron is a liberal who has been mugged, and then brags about it.

Just as British humor is different from American humor, so is French. It doesn’t translate well.

I just read this as a 'Thank you sir, may I have another' kind of statement.
But to be honest - a really searing cover, or a clever snark, is the last thing needed. Actions to fix the situation are what are needed.

Snark is what Charlie Hebdo has. They’re the morale officer for (a portion of) the French population.

I think most have misinterpreted this cartoon. It is actually the height of sarcasm. A send up of postmodern euroweenie-ism.

Charlie Hebdo already had one mass murder in the office. I think they are simply trying to avoid another one.
I haven't noticed any "JE SUIS CHARLIE" signs lately.
