I don’t get how after the last debate, Carson is number 2. Didn’t anyone watch the debate? Or did the pollsters ask a bunch of Carson supporters?

Trump ought to get with Glen Beck and find out about such effective resettlement plans as that of Slovenia. They spend $2500 to resettle a family of 4, which includes language lessons so that all the able bodied members of a family can go to WORK instead of being a foreign parasite with nothing better to do than get on Face Book and plan attacks against their host country. Catholic Charities and Lutheran Refugee Services would be put out of the fat government subsidy game if we let Slovenia do the job.

Trump is done. He will NEVER become the nominee! He is nothing but a liberal that is a stalking horse for Hillary.

You Trumpettes will have to take your Trumpster and send him to the Trump Trash lot and dump him in the dump lot, because he’s trash like I said with calling him a Trumpster, because that’s like dumpster, just with “TR” at the front because it sounds the same ...and stuff.

But he’s a ^%#^@# Trojan horse liberal! I have a chart somewhere that will prove it!!!

Aw hell, I’m too bored. Someone else will do it. But rest assured this time he’s PEAKED!!

“I will bomb the sh#t out of them”.

That one statement, which Trump is making part of his rally speeches, is why he is surging.

My take is that Cruz is starting to consolidate the support of the small conservative third-tier candidates like Jindal, Paul, Santorum, Huckabee, etc. Rubio seems to be doing the same with the GOP-E third tiers like Christie, Kasich, etc.

I don’t think they’re making much inroads into Trump or Carson’s support.

When push comes to shove those Carson voters are going to Trump. Absent an alien abduction Trump is the GOP nominee.

Can we agree that this primary is highly unusual? Both Trump and Carson have zero political experience yet are leading. Of course the reason is a broad hatred of what politicians have done to a once great nation in recent decades. Still, it is unusual.

I expect that whatever results to be highly unusual.

Here is my concern. If one of them becomes the nominee, will they win over the supporters of the other? If the remarkably soft spoken Carson appeals to you, could you possibly get behind the remarkably brash Trump? If the remarkably brash Trump suits you, can you possibly switch to the remarkably soft spoken Carson?

Is that the whole design?

Have to wonder what it will take to dislodge the Carson voters. He said al-Qaeda wasn’t an “existential threat” after 2003. Sigh.

Digging into the poll,

Rubio at 9%
Fiorina, Kasich and Paul are all at 4%.
Tippytoes is at 3%
Christie is barely detectable at 2%,
everyone else is off the radar.

This is not a surprise. Trump has so far been right about the major issues facing us. I recall when he said we should bomb the oil fields, many ridiculed him - but now we are doing it.

An interesting part of this poll is that if you look at Republican "likely" voters who are actually registered to vote, Carson beats Trump.

The way they structured this poll was strange, too. Every question is about the order of preference for all candidates - who is your first choice, who is your second choice, etc. No direct question about who you intend to vote for, although that can probably be inferred.

Also, Trump has a much higher percentage of people who say they will definitely NOT vote for him than Carson, Cruz, Rubio or Fiorina.
