$12 million raised so far. Christians are vetted by getting in touch with bishops, priests and family. Syrian Christians are Catholic or Orthodox, AFAIK. Over a hundred have been rescued so far. I think Czechoslovakia has taken them thus far. But Beck is threatening to walk some across the US border.

Obama is not accepting Syrian Christians, AFAIK, speaking of religious tests

So what test is Beck going to use to ensure that they are really “Christian” refugees? Performing exorcisms, pressing a cross to their foreheads, giving them a BLT sandwich and seeing if they eat it? I would use a Muslim looking guy and have him sneak into their midst and have him shout, “Allah Ackbar” and see if they joined in then send them packing back overseas.

0 is currently applying a religious test to keep Syrian Christians out. Ones who are making it here somehow are being sent back.

I’ve contributed to this effort. Beck is doing the right thing & doing it in the right way. These people are the ones truly in need of rescuing. They’ll be settled & helped through private charity & will never end up on the public dole, unlike the ones the President wants to bring in.

Yes, because the narrative of breaking the law to save innocent people is exactly what we want to craete.

Oh look, there’s 100 million hard working Christians in South America who want to come over to the US because their countries are piles of s***. Let’s have them swim across the river. And look at that evil Donald Trump, who wants to build a wall so Glenn Beck can’t smuggle in more Christians.

Beck’s being very open about his intent. I wonder how much attention it’s getting from the government.

I agree with the sentiment here - the Syrian Christians are truly refugees fleeing violence and persecution. These are the people talked about on the Statue of Liberty:

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Yet they are truly being treated differently then the muslim "refugees". In fact, my perception, is that they are being treated more skeptically and harshly then any other group by this administration.

Unfortunately, as others have stated, it is very easy to hide a terrorist within this particular group of refugees and open ourselves up to attack. So what's the solution, the more and more I think about it, the more I think that creating a middle east safe zone for these people.

In a sane world he wouldn't have to.

These are actual refugees facing a long slow extermination. 100 years ago Christians made up 40% of the total population of the middle east, today is somewhere south of 5%. Its a slow motion Holocaust no matter what words we use.

At least with middle eastern Christians they take care of their own, become productive Americans, and stand in opposition to further muslim encroachment.

As long as a bona fide clergy can vouch for the immigrant, fine.

If Beck is depending solely upon the word of the immigrant, big mistake.

Beck trying to seem compassionate at taxpayer expense. The United States taxpayer cannot succor every person on earth who is going through hell. We should take care of our own.

No.

You cannot do this again. You need to employ these Syrian Christians in SYRIA to identify the infesting rot. Give them their country or this will never end.

People never learn from history. If you remove the good from the bad, then all you have left is the bad.

Such stupid, gullible people giving this man money.

I’m ok with Christian refugees as long as it can be definitively proven. Christians in the middle east are genuinely persecuted and unlike their Islamic cousins, don’t blow s__t up.

No. Even someone supposedly on the Republican side should not support bringing illegals to our country. Bring them legally or not at all. Criminal behavior should not be rewarded.

Do you know the difference between a Christian immigrant and an Islamic invader?

A checkmark in the “Christian” box on their entrance form. Anyone can check “Christian” and it means nothing.
