Really? I've never heard that.
Yes.
See second paragraph of link. Tried to find original source in English, but I can only find Hebrew.

Tell that to the Brahmins I know who has stated as much.
well, I don’t know this Brahmin you speak of, so can’t tell him. What I can tell you is based on Hindu beliefs — there is no such thing as a bloodline — your karma defines what you become or what you are.
Not “him,” “they.” I work with and have worked with and am still friends with many Indians (Brahmins) who have explained caste structure to me.
Then why the arranged marriages and the caste system?
That was devised by the Brahmins to protect the Brahmin caste. Now, they may not believe individually and privately that there is any racial inheritance. But as surely as the British Monarchy maintained that their royalty was divinely imparted, so the Brahmins tell the lower castes that their role as the “ruling caste” of the Hindus is also divinely imparted.
It’s a power and control issue and has little to do with actual religion.
Have you ever seen the movie, “The Chosen” with Robbie Benson?
The theme and basic plot of that movie belies everything you wrote.
And that may be your view of the Jewish people, but that is not the common view.
Christian theology teaches us that the Jewish people were the chosen for one simple reason: to provide the bloodline from which the Messiah would be born. And that they were chosen not because they were the lowliest, most stiff-necked people on the planet, but rather for the simple reason that they were the apple of God’s eye.
You have not defined why else they would be “chosen.” If they were not chosen to provide the Messiah, then why would they be chosen?
This is where the Jewish faith divides. Now, you may be in one camp. But there certainly is another camp, a more secular, worldly camp of Jews (who I call JINOs, who turn not to God but to Man for guidance and control), Jews who helped create communism and socialism, who actively promote it at the global level.
No, it is not some conspiracy theory that it is “the Jews” behind the push for a New World Order, but there are Jews involved (JINO’s), and they believe that such a system will be for the benefit of the Jewish people, even though history proves otherwise.
These Jews do believe that they are “chosen” to bring about this New World Order, and it has nothing to do with being a lowly, stiff-necked people. It has to do about ruling the worldly realm.
This perspective would explain why the Jews (JINOs) in America are working so hard to get the Indians in America on the Jewish socio-political plantation, just as they have gotten the Blacks and Hispanics on their plantation.
WASPs and the American colonialists share all the traits you listed (except bordering Islamic countries). But we don’t try to segregate ourselves as a group and point out all the great things we did.
Why? Because we are not taught that what we have accomplished and what we have provided for the world (a country that for 200 years has offered the greatest degree of individual liberty combined with the greatest potential to earn material wealth) as the product of our ethnicity and our culture.
We attribute our success and achievements to an idea, a perspective, and we believe that anyone, regardless of race, ethnicity or religion can likewise achieve.
I remember well the Indian contingent of Freepers from over 10 years ago. Whenever a thread came up discussing offshoring and H1Bs, if any Freeper dared to criticize the practice and state that offshoring our white-collar jobs was hurting America, the Indian contingent dog-piled on that Freeper and beat the hell out of him or her.
The country has finally woken up to all the lies that were spread about offshoring. Most of that Indian contingent of Freepers is gone, and we now realize they had no love of America and had no concern for strengthening America, only to strengthen India.
The winds are shifting. Americans have woken up (thanks to Trump) and now realize our country has been under attack, our culture has been under attack, and that patriotic Americans have been treated like pariah for long enough.
Boasting about your cultural and ethnic and national identification and qualities will not be received well.
You have confuddled the purpose of “why is there a chosen people” at all (to act as a priestly class, to provide the Mosiach) with “why was an obscure and insignificant middle eastern people chosen” as said chosen people.
Very different questions, with very different answers.
As to what non-observant or other heretical Jews say, I don’t really care and have no opinion. The Talmud is very clear, and upon it I rely for my answer.
Well, they DID -- read Kipling's "white man's burden" etc. and I'd say until the 60s WASPs were proud of what they achieved. By that time though, the USA was barely AS - most of the USA was Germanic with large Irish-Scottish and Slavic and Italian groups
those are two separate questions:
You can see that the caste system was flexible before the spread of Buddhism -- it looks like one could rise (Vishwamitra). After Buddhism collapsed during the Gupta era, it looks like a hardening occurred
==
Arranged marriages -- arranged marriages were the norm in most of the world until the 20th century. These were based on the father's idea of alliances. One would also marry one's daughter or son to someone of the same "class" -- as you can see in Europe until the industrial era or even later where royalty only married royalty, lower nobility to lower nobility etc.
but again, the question of a "blood line" doesn't make sense in a religious society based on reincarnation - where your Brahmin's grandfather could be reincarnated as an untouchable if he was really "bad" (whatever they term "bad" to be).
You can spin the system for as long as you have breath in your lungs.
Americans (and frankly, those in Europe now, too) look around at the system and see it for what it is and how it is used.
YOU said Both (especially the Brahmins) believe in racial superiority and that only those of the ââ¬Åchosenââ¬Â bloodline can ever be Godââ¬â¢s select. -- to which I pointed out that Brahmin's believe more in their karma -- that people are born based on their Karma.
This doesn't justify the way they treated lower castes, just pointing out that this is not "bloodline" or race - you're mixing up two different forms of evils - racism and casteism
I’ve seen enough Brahmins in shady business deals and using the hell out of people to indicate to me that they care more about the advancement of their own careers than they do about “karma.”
Now, that may be the Brahmins that come to America, and it may be that the Indian people who are in Indian are of a completely different character. I’ve never been, but I’m willing to bet that this is true, because I have worked with a couple of Indians who were from the more rural areas of India who were very down-to-earth and not materialistic. It just so happens that they also couldn’t wait to get home, which may further prove that the Indians who come to America are driven by more worldly ambitions.
