Cruz ties Paris attacks to religious liberty pitch

Greenville, South Carolina - Ted Cruz used the backdrop of the terror attacks in Paris as the latest evidence that Christians are under siege, making a pitch on Saturday to evangelicals here that tied together his take-no-prisoners foreign policy with his faith-driven domestic agenda.

The Texas Republican, kicking off his most extensive trip yet in South Carolina, had planned for a month a large, highly-produced "Rally for Religious Liberty" that mirrored a similar event this summer...

But Friday's attacks in France recalibrated Cruz's message and its overall tone: He began the event with a lengthy moment of silence, and Cruz spent nearly as much time discussing the perils of "radical Islamic terrorism" as he did government persecution of Christian merchants and educators.

"Right now as we speak, it is persecuting Christians. It is persecuting Jews. It's even persecuting fellow Muslims," Cruz said of Islamic extremists, as part of a prayer at Bob Jones University, a prominent Christian school. "We ask for unity for the people of America, and we ask finally, that you bless this gathering in celebration of the liberty to worship you with all of our hearts, minds and souls."

...

The campaign said about 2,500 people came to watch the series of videos and on-stage interviews, in which Cruz himself was featured very little. But the event Cruz convened had the feel of a high-tech service at a megachurch, with sharply cut videos between sermons from movement leaders like Tony Perkins and testimonials from ordinary people who said they weren't allowed to pray or share their beliefs in public.

...

"It protects Christians, it protects Jews, it protects Muslims, it protects anyone who is engaged in peaceful exercise of their faith," Cruz said. "That being said, though, the Obama administration has demonstrated a particular antipathy for Christians."

Yes, CNN, that kooky religious liberty pitch. The founding Fathers actually thought of it first.

The muzzie in the WH disagrees with that statement. Christians worldwide are safe.

Dear Senator Cruz - Please GET A CLUE!

It’s NOT Islamic “extremism”...

It’s NOT “radical” Islam ...

It is I-S-L-A-M. PERIOD!

I grow tired of his establishment PC pablum with regards to Isalm.

These “radical” and “extremist” qualifiers, within which he so often couches his remarks about Islam so to make the case for religious liberty, are total Bull crap. Cruz’s constant repetition of the LIE, “radical Islam” and “extreme Islam,” are just as poisonous as the same LIE repeated ad nausea by former President GW Bush, when he too shoveled us his Bull Sh*t about Islam being “a religion of peace.”

I am fed up with this PC Pollyanna CRAP fed to us by political COWARDS who refuse to look history in the eye and call a spade a spade.

If Senator Ted Cruz does not understand the material historical facts - that Islam was, is, and always shall be a blood-lusting death cult, based in totalitarian political ideology, but POSING as a religion - then he has no business seeking to sit his prim and proper little butt in the BIG CHAIR ... because he proves himself just as much a WILLFULLY NAIVE DUPE of the PC pimps as was George W. Bush and the rest of the GOP charlatans, who constantly played us for fools.

Let’s see....Muslim attackers yelling how their moon god is great before killing people after being sent by a Muslim terrorist organization that’s killing people, paying special attention to the massacre of Christians, Yazidis, and any religion other than their own sect of Islam, and taking those people’s land to turn it into a brutal regime run according to their interpretation of the horrific rules of Islam.

Can’t imagine how Cruz would try to tie the Muslim killers to religion. How obscure.

Don’t sell Cruz short: he certainly knows the five pillars of Islam and what they mean. He is getting his message out in a way that the MSM can’t attack by using the modifiers. He saw firsthand what W’s naivete cost us,and he has no intention of going down that path as president.
