Yes, Churchill was widely denounced during those days when he wanted to keep Naziism from spreading throughout Europe. All the other leaders of the time wanted to appease Hitler and felt that by giving him some living space (sorry Austria, sorry Czechoslovakia) that he would be content and that Europe could live with the Nazis in peace.

He stood virtually alone in speaking about the need to protect our civilization against the Muslim threat and our borders from being overrun by undesirables. He was widely ridiculed for taking this stand, especially by those in his own party. Just like Churchill was.
