I dov not need Trumpâs protection. I do not want Trumpâs protection.
For me, the fact is I find Trump untrustworthy for his embrace of socialized medicine, for his embrace of eminent domain not for a public use but to transfer one personâs private property to another, for his lack of familiarity with the Constitution and for his mindless bombast.
He is entertaining, but in my opinion he would be a disaster of a President on the scale of Obama. I donât want a "new boss same as the old boss".
Good luck with that. There’s not another candidate who will take them on. But your vote, your decision.
Trump excels at dealing with the greatest threat to this country, the one that would not be reversible and that is immigration.
A desire for secure borders will drive the election, that means Trump will win. National security and national sovereignty. Once the borders are secured, your concerns can be addressed. First things first.
“He is entertaining, but in my opinion he would be a disaster of a President on the scale of Obama.”
I fully agree. In my opinion, Mr. Trump is not suited for the office of POTUS either by his temperament or experience. It scares me when posters (no disrespect intended) like GilGil want a “ruthless” POTUS.....that “ruthless” nature can turn on you.
By the way, Dr. Carson is also not suited for the office of POTUS either by his temperament or experience.
I AM NOT here to be a spokesperson for Senator Cruz. He is, however, in my opinion the best candidate (by his temperament and experience) of those existing viable candidates to lead this country. We need a “leader” and not a CEO from the business world. Mr. Trump will not be able to do those things necessary to make a republic work; he is used to dictating not leading. Dr. Carson is a decent human being, but he lacks experience in the workings of government (as does Mr. Trump).
As much as we disdain “professional” politicians, it does take someone with experience, like Senator Cruz, to make things work.
Confession - I am primarily a social conservative, and that is my main concern. The only viable “social conservative” is Senator Cruz. The others are essentially no longer in the race. I do not consider Dr. Carson to be a bonifide conservation on all social issues. It concerns me that social conservatives are being drawn towards him. I will not bad mouth or disrespect him though, but do not think him suitable for POTUS. Regarding Mr. Trump, I do not think he can be trusted to keep the various and assundry promises he has made regarding social issues.
My feelings/beliefs on the primary and general election is this. If the GOP doesn’t put a bonifide social conservation in the top spot on the ticket, I will not support that individual in the general election. Thus, I will not support Mr. Trump or Dr. Carson. Having Senator Cruz as the running mate to Mr. Trump just ruins Senator Cruz in my eyes. I would not vote for that ticket either.

Some valid concerns.
Having recognized no candidate is perfect, I believe Trump alone has what we need:
An understanding and commitment that immigration must begin with sending illegals back and preventing the continual infiltration across the border.
An intimate understanding of money in politics and how to leverage it.
Thick skin to not care about the whining left.
Commitment to the 2nd amendment.
Commitment to changing the economic equation in our country and in our dealings with other countries.
I believe he is the only one tough enough to bring the fight to Hillary or Bernie and do whatever it takes to win at this crucial moment in history.
He absolutely needs Cruz by his side to check his impulses against the Constitution.
Every other candidate is more of the same ongoing overspending, crony capitalism and failure to act as we go off a cliff.
Yeah - anyone who doesn't cross all our personal "T's" and dot all our personal "I's" is "every bit as bad as Obama - no wonder we are in such dire straits - even those who claim to be on our side are idiots who refuse to defeat evil unless they get the bonus of having everyone's farts smell of fresh baked apple pie.
They also tend to be non-supporters of imperfect trifles like "the candidate of their choice and FR".
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader
PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
