I think this is just old time politics, people have seen mealy mouthed political correctness for so long they squirm when they see what used to be not so unusual. I recall reading about an exchange in the English Parliament where one “gentleman” addresses the other thusly, “YOu, sir will die either on the gallows or of syphilis.” Without a blink the other “gentleman” responded, “That, sir will depend on which I embrace FIRST, your standards or your mistress.”
I saw part of this. I have to say, that was an odd speech even for Trump. I’m not sure he was conscious. It was more like a rambling stream of consciousness.
If I really think about it most of what Trump says he will do is president is of the same sort as what I could imagine myself doing if I were president so if he walks the walk that he talks I could see him doing a great job. The difference between my temperament and Trump’s is that I don’t kid myself for one minute that I could deal with the stress that he is under without throwing my hands in the air and saying to hell with it, I’m going to go home and cut my grass. On the other hand I don’t think Dr. Carson can deal with it over the long haul either.

Just read in Quad City Times that Trump called Iowans “stupid if they vote for Ben Carson”? Trumps is losing votes fast.
Trump gets smaller with every single name-calling.
Trump keeps on ticking so far ... but he needs to get off the Carson thing.
Most of the outrageous things he’s said, we’re all going ‘amen,amen,amen.’
This Carson thing seems petty and unbecoming.
He needs to drop it and fast. I don’t want him to self destruct.

Love the English Parliament quip. Very good one...
I tend to want to keep things dignified. A sharp wit doesn’t have to be one that hits you over the head with vulgarity or outlandish claims.
It’s a lot like comedy. You hit them with clever, not cleaver or hammer.
I’m praying he gets off the Carson thing.
Bombing the hell out of Isis - winner.
Deporting illegals - winner.
Building a real fence - winner.
Petty National Enquirer like attacks on Carson - loser.
I totally agree that Carson is not the man we need.
He gives off a creepy vibe to me .. but that’s for us and the press to say, not Trump.
Like it or not, Carson is Trump’s opponent as are the rest.
This is big league politics, with our country at stake. It’s time for a real ruthless leader who wont take s**t from anyone.
Nothing else will ever right this seriously damaged and declining country. America better get it right this time.
Nobody is listening to the press these days. They’ve been totally written off by the public. Folks are fed up, and they can’t trust the media at all.
This pretty much leaves it in Trump’s lap if he wants the message out, from a source people will believe.
Maybe, but I think Carson is on the way out anyway.
He should attack Carson on policy if he wants to attack him. I don’t think it’s even necessary.
Carson was a fad. Trump is the real deal if if if he can control himself just a little bit.
Go all out on the things we care about .. not Carson’s disfunctional youth.

It’s time for real leader, who’s not afraid to rock the podium, not afraid to offend and not afraid to ring some bells.
This is a fight for a dysfunctional, once united country which is in steep decline.
The glove are going to come off in big ways. More than some might realize. Wait until it’s Hillary’s turn.
