Campaign Mgr on TPP: Trump Committed to Bilateral Renegotiations <tr>
Breitbart ^ | Tony Lee

Posted on 11/11/2015 10:26:41 AM PST by RoosterRedux

On Wednesday's Breitbart News Daily on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, Donald Trump's campaign manager said Trump is committed to renegotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement with the 11 nations and then honoring the Constitution by getting two-thirds of the Senate to approve those bilateral agreements.

He added that Trump is the only candidate in the race who can cut good deals on behalf of the American people.

During Tuesday night's debate, Trump said that TPP was "a horrible deal" that "is going to lead to nothing but trouble" and he would rather make "individual deals with individual countries."

"This is one of the worst trade deals," Trump said. "I would rather not have it."

Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon that "the American government should go out and cut the best deal with individual countries so we can make sure we're getting the best deal."

When Bannon asked whether Trump would make bilateral deals and "use his force of will" to attempt to get two-thirds of the Senate to support it, he said, "absolutely."

"We should be negotiating these deals one-on-one with every country. Why wouldn't we want to do that? We negotiate from a position of strength not a position of weakness," Lewandowski said.

If the next President 1) cuts economy stiffling regulations and 2) repatriates trillions of dollars back to the US via low taxes on that money, then the entire nature of the trade negotiations and self-interest and leverage of the negotiators changes.

One of the big problems with a 5,000 page trade deal is it is static, and anti-capitalist with many loopholes and incentives to pick winners and losers.

It is “managed” trade, not “free” trade.

What does that mean? Its a joke to want to redo a 100 pound pile of papers that no one has read or can understand? Explain.

One of the big problems with Obama's 5,000 page trade deal is it is static, and anti-capitalist with many loopholes, and calculatedly hand-picks winners and losers. It is “managed” trade, not “free” trade.

Nice wrap.

Republican votes for this atrocity are even more horrendous since Obama calls the TPP deal "central" to his second-term legacy, as well as to his "foreign policy" and "economic" agendas.

The text of the crucial vote which gave Boobamba fast-track authority on TPP was so classified, not even members of Congress were allowed to read it. Republicans voting in secret to insure Obama's legacy should be relegated to the trash heap of history---not running for president.

==================================================

PONDER THIS--TPP is best understood against the backdrop
of Obama's post-presidential get-rich-quick foundation plans.

NOW ISN'T THIS INTERESTING? few, if any, of the RCEP and
TPP countries contributed to the buck-raking Clinton Foundation.

Looks like the Clintons and Obama divvied up the globe so that each have their own countries in order to collect big buck get-rich-quick foundation donations, honorarium, cosultancies, and int'l insider business deals.

======================================

THE FACTS ARE THESE Obama's trade deal giveaway is a huge scam...best examined against the backdrop of Obama's two tax-exempt foundations (two-that we know of). Obama's priming the pump for donations to his two Foundations.

All of Obama's thinly-veiled actions....

(1) promoting TPA and TPP,

(2) his immigration suck-ups

(3) his non-action WRT ISIS, IRAN....

.....are best understood against the backdrop of Obama's future get-rich-quick plans as an ex-president----more specifically, his two get-rich-quick Foundations (two foundations that we know of).

All these entities control billions of dollars---and Obama is lying-in-wait for his share: foreign donations, lucrative insider trade deals from untapped resources, energy deals, telecom deals, arms sales, consultancies, million dollar honorarium...and so on and so forth.

===================================================

WIKI REFERENCE: Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is a proposed free trade agreement (FTA) between the ten member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) (Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and the six states with which ASEAN has existing FTAs (Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand). RCEP negotiations were formally launched in November 2012 at the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia.

He never said China was in it. He said a major problem that adversely affects the trade deal is currency manipulation. He then pivoted his answer to China as the world’s chief manipulator.

Everyone knows they are trying to slide the TPP through without China because it would become radioactive if they were in.

The plan is to slide them in quietly later on.

I really wish one of these guys was actually a free market proponent. You don’t get there by negotiating anything with anyone. You simply drop your own tariffs and regulations and stabilize your money. Then the world’s industries rush to relocate into your country and hire your workers at rising wages because of the competition for labor in a free country with a free market.

I totally agree with Trump. We need to be making trade agreements with individual countries.

Absolutely. You never ever get involved in a deal with a group which would have other priorities and interests.

It's why were supposed to be a sovereign independent country, which made us great. This is not complex

HE said that to cover his a$$ after Paul called him out. The guy clearly does not know what he is talking about. But everything is going to be “GREAT”, “Wonderful” Make America great again.
This guy is no conservative and he is a joke. He may do well in real estate but he is in way over his head for the job we need now after Zero has done his thing.

I’m not for TPP, I’m just blank as to what you see in this guy. He says whatever comes into his head. Like “its going to be great” “everyone love me” “I’m gonna do a great job” He would make a great press secretary for Cruz.

It means they think they have a gotcha on Trump and the poster is trying to use it to throw in a hand grenade. Never mind the truth - that China would be involved in 50 ways from Sunday.
