Trump: Christie could have ‘a place’ on my ticket - NASA was great

Donald Trump said Wednesday that would have room for Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) in his presidential administration.

"[He is] a very good guy," Trump said when asked about the fellow presidential candidate, according to NBC News.

"There could certainly be a place for him," he added when a questioner floated Christie as Trump's potential running mate in 2016.

Trump was appearing in Manchester, N.H. for one of the Granite State's Politics & Eggs events. NBC News said Wednesday that the business mogul addressed a wide range of policy issues.

Among the topics he discussed were education, immigration and even the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA).

"Nothing [is] more important than higher education and education in general," Trump said. "It's so important to our economy.

"It's great," he said of NASA. "You know, in the old days, it was great.

"Right now we have bigger problems," the real estate tycoon added. "We've got to fix our potholes."

Christie and Trump both spent Tuesday night in Milwaukee for the fourth GOP presidential debate.

The two men were separated into different portions of the contest, however. Christie appeared in the undercard event because he did not meet Fox Business Network's minimum polling threshold for the main stage.

The New Jersey governor made the most of his spot by fiercely criticizing Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.

"I saw the most disgraceful thing of the campaign a few weeks ago," Christie said. "Hillary Clinton was asked the enemy she was most proud of and she said, 'Republicans.'

"In the world where we have al Qaeda and ISIS [Islamic State in Iraq and Syria], the mullahs in Iran and [Russian President] Vladimir Putin, the woman who asks to run and represent all of the United States says her greatest enemies are people like you in this audience and us here," he added, citing Clinton's remarks during the first Democratic presidential debate on Oct. 13 in Las Vegas.

Trump, meanwhile, took center stage during the Republican contest's main card in Milwaukee. He earned approximately 24 percent of the event's Twitter traffic, edging out the seven other competitors on stage.

Trump just said that NASA, with less than .05% of the national budget, will be history in his administration.

Secretary of Labor!!

Trump was asked, by Cavuto, who he’d choose as his VP. Trump, of course, didn’t bite...but instead offered platitudes for a few...saying it’s “too early” to talk about.

I didn’t hear Cavuto ask any of the other candidates about their VP pick(s).

A RINO and a Hippo.

Oh, that's cute.

And, would apply to EVERY match-up, with Krispy as VP.

Trump's the one who has turned the establishment completely on their ear, so there's that.

“Donald Trump said Wednesday that would have room for Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) in his presidential administration.”

The frickin headline is misleading but if it suckers people in what does it matter.

Your Trump Derangement Syndrome will get the better of you sooner or later.

New poster for Hillary’s campaign.

Haggard old woman dressed in Chinese Communist regalia pointing her withered finger at you and saying “Enemy of the State”.

Actually, would love to see a guerrilla campaign dumping various caricatures of Comrade Hillary in various fascist, Nazi, and Communist poses all over the place.

NASA is nothing more than a Muslim outreach program under the current regime. It should either be done right or not at all. At the present time, the political will just isn't there to do it right.

As for Trump's statement 'in his presidential administration', that doesn't necessarily mean on his ticket. It makes zero sense from either an ideological or geographical balance viewpoint. I'm no fan of fatboy, but think he would do great as head of HHS or Homeland Security, just to name two possible cabinet spots.

Trump likes to take private property, Sen. Ted Cruz is about finding more for us to claim to generate wealth.

Space, Science, and Competitiveness Subcommittee Chairman Ted Cruz (R-Texas)

Bill confirming property rights for asteroid miners passes the Senate

"...The exact wording of the language reads, "Any asteroid resources obtained in outer space are the property of the entity that obtained them, which shall be entitled to all property rights to them, consistent with applicable federal law and existing international obligations."

The language that defines property rights is designed to get around the provision of the Outer Space Treaty that prohibits countries from establishing sovereign claims on celestial bodies. Traditionally, such claims have been the basis of law defending property rights. The bill's language does not allow private companies to "own" asteroids they mine, but does defend their right to own material they mine from it. Commercial space mining companies are enjoined from interfering with the activities of other entities but are given the right to sue such entities in federal court if they are interfered with.

The legal precedence was set during the Apollo moon landings. The lunar astronauts collected a great amount of soil and rock samples from the moon, which remains the property of the United States. The same principle could be extended to private companies mining platinum group metals, rare earths, and ice for profit....."

I have described him as “Mitt Romney with a backbone” and have seen little to alter that view. That being said, he very well may be the best this dumbed down electorate is worthy and capable of electing at this time.

Trumps stump speeches seem to be bringing up Hillary more and more. He hasn’t gone totally derog on her yet, but it should be a beaut.
