Those who lose/lost jobs to H1Bs (for example) may disagree.

“If we’re saying legal is good, how much immigration is good? Half a million a year? A million a year?” Feere said. “These politicians don’t even want to be asked that question and the moderators don’t even want to ask the question.”

It it amazing that how many legal immigrants should be allowed each year never becomes part of the conversations. I've noticed this for years when politicians discuss immigration. It does seem the politicians and the media all scheme to make sure numbers are never discussed.

I wonder many voting age Americans know how many legal immigrants are admitted each year?

Immigration scorecard for 2016 hopefuls. Has a “support reduction in annual immigration” row.

Nothing wrong with LEGAL immigration.

I'd say, nothing wrong with controlled immigration, as agreed upon by the native populace. If Obama got his way, by some trickery in the courts, the invasion would be called legal. But, it would still be an invasion.

After all, the EU is effectively making their Muslim invasion legal, at least for the moment. It's still an invasion.

Trump would do well to stick to his position paper on immigration. He has been going wobbly lately. His high walls and wide gates is contrary to his own position paper on legal immigration.

Immigration moderation. Before any new green cards are issued to foreign workers abroad, there will be a pause where employers will have to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed immigrant and native workers. This will help reverse women's plummeting workplace participation rate, grow wages, and allow record immigration levels to subside to more moderate historical averages.

Historical levels are around 200,000 a year compared to the 1.1 million legal permanent immigrants we take in annually. This does not count the 670,000 guest workers who enter each year or the 70,000 refugees annually.

Nothing wrong with LEGAL immigration.

Open borders, unlimited immigration could be legal immigration if a nation adopted that policy.

Nothing wrong with LEGAL immigration.

There is plenty wrong with LEGAL immigration. First we take in far more than we need. Over 1.1 million legal permanent immigrants enter annually. Second, legal immigrants are using welfare to a far greater extent than the native born. We are importing poverty. Third, 20% of legal immigrants lack even a high school degree. We don't need more high school dropouts. Fourth, immigrants vote more than two to one Dem. We are importing hundreds of thousands of future Dem voters annually. Fifth, legal immigrants are taking American jobs and depressing wages. We have a surplus of labor.

See my post #27. Legal immigration is a far bigger problem than illegal aliens. Far bigger with much greater consequences.

If you include the progeny of those aborted thirty, forty years ago, and the numbers missing come close to seventy million. That’s a number close to the population of Germany. And most of these people would be from families assimilated to the American culture.

"Trump will bring it up anyway. Count on it."

Yep, and Dirty Trade.

He will pin it around the necks of every person on that stage. He WILL make them choose, publicly and clearly.

It's their greatest fear.

I hope so, because 1,800,000 new LEGAL immigrants in 2013 is way too many at this stage in our country.

MAJORITY of legal immigrants are not accepted on basis of skills or wealth. Rather they get approved as close relatives of another immigrant. Majority are low-skilled, low-wealth, and are a burden on taxpayers.

WSJ = Open Borders = Murdoch = SCUM.

Add to that list Chamber of Commerce, ultra rich donors who want the cheap labor express to enhance profits. The way our political elections work, every candidate need rich donors to keep him/her in the race. Why do you think NONE of the candidates (except Trump) dare utter the words [deport all illegals] or [change legal immigrants based on skill or wealth only]?

With regard to figure 1, we all have to ask: why did America need to be resettled, 230 years after the Revolution, and 350 years after the English started colonizing North America?

There is no reasonable answer to this question other then the aliens themselves wanted to improve their lifestyles.

And the Bolsheviks wanted to do anything to undermine and destroy the successful country known as America. They know mass immigration will do this. They don’t think of it as a positive thing, or they would advocate it for Russia and China, neither of which allows even tiny numbers of immigrants.

Abortion + Mass Immigration = Annihilation

Legal immigration is NOT the problem!

With 300+ million and 90 million not working LEGAL immigration is a huge problem.

You either have borders or you don't. You either have a county or you don't

The world seems to feel that it has the right to force legal immigration on the USA and we have complied with that request for decades. It seems that the US cannot refuse to stop the floodgate of immigrants. The US is thought to serve as a dumping ground of humans for all nations.
