Those who believe the Warren report should reflect on the FACT that, if the Warren report is correct, all that was needed to prevent the assassination of JFK was to secure the book depository building beforehand, yet it was not done. I have never heard a believable reason for not doing so that does not involve either incompetence on a staggering level or complicity.
The route Kennedy’s entourage took through downtown Dallas had tall buildings on either side for miles. It would have been impossible to secure the entire route.
have you read what the Sheriff of Miami had to say about Kennedy’s previous to his city? Interesting. They ditched the route plan because it was too open and dangerous. He cannot understand why in Dallas they put the President in such a precarious position with little security.
It would have been very possible to change the route. Why didn’t they?

Then the whole thing never should have been planned that way even if JFK himself wanted it. That still doesn’t explain why the secret service man was told to step away from the vehicle.
