We don’t have a large enough army to operate under the typical you-can’t-hurt-em ROE. And, while the cartels are the bad guys now, we could change that and see the Mexican people supporting them against us. No plan is without unintended consequences. You also have to factor in the hundreds of Walter we’ve-lost-this-war Cronkites who want nothing more than a failure and will present each success as an unqualified disaster. The press is America’s worst enemy.
We MUST change the WHOLE administration in January 2017. IF our military is going to fight some group, then FIGHT like we did in WWII. Collateral damage be dammed. WIN the fight AND the war.
To quote Conan the Barbarian, "Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women."
Or better yet, to quote Ann Coulter, "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."
