Where did you get that misinformation? The black boxes are in the tail, which landed by itself, some 3 miles from the rest of the a/c -- and the area containing the recorders was basically intact:
Authorities had those intact recorders almost as soon as they arrived on the scene...

The internet version of the Daily Mail a UK paper showed pictures of Egyptian investigators holding what was purported to be the black boxes. The story went on to say they were heavily damages (pictures of them) and it was doubtful any useful information could be gotten from them.
Even though I am in aviation all I was doing was pointing out what a particular news media wrote and passed on that information. I am fully aware where those black boxes and CVR's are located.
