Yet, because Fast-Track - or so-called Trade Promotion Authority - was adopted (without a single vote to spare), we cannot amend this deal, we cannot filibuster this deal, and we cannot subject it to the two-thirds treaty vote," Sessions said. "That is why I am calling today on our leaders to take the TPP off of the Fast-Track. The vote should be held under regular Senate and Constitutional order, and it should be held when voters can hold their lawmakers accountable - not during an unaccountable lame duck session.

I swear, Congress wants to finish us off before the election. For some reason, none of these a$$h0#s are the least bit concerned about losing an election, Hillary included.

Is it because they know we’ll be toast before we get there?

Thanks Ted Cruz!

President Trump is going to have his work cut out for him. I hope Cruz is not his VP. Kind of like Reagan picking Bush, his biggest mistake.

At bottom, this is not a mere trade agreement,” Sessions said. “It bears the hallmarks of a nascent European Union. It is another step towards a world where people, goods, and services can travel freely across international boundaries – and a world where those boundaries mean less and less every day."?

This is where all the so-called free trade agreements have always been headed. Some have thought that they could be all for free trade and still expect border security and enforcement of or immigration laws. That was never the intend of those who constantly push for one more big agreement that erodes our sovereignty further. TPP looks like it'll be a major step toward the open borders world many have been working toward.

We'll see as this thing is studied more closely.

You are correct. Open borders was always the goal that was hiding behind so-called “free trade”.

What a hoot! A perusal of relevant FR threads predicted almost everything Sessions had to say before the text of the agreement was made public!

“The text of the TPP confirms our fears.”

Did anyone ever doubt that it would not, except Cruz and Rubio, for example.

It will pass. The globalists behind this have hundred of millions of dollars to buy off the required number of politicians. The country is over unless Trump gets in and dissolves it.

"But, generally speaking, the Protective system in these days is conservative, while the Free Trade system works destructively. It breaks up old nationalities and carries antagonism of proletariat and bourgeoisie to the uttermost point. In a word, the Free Trade system hastens the Social Revolution."

After his SNL appearance, Trump needs to stop throwing darts at other candidates and start pointing out the dangers of this agreement and also what’s really going on with the H1-B programs some other candidates want to increase several fold.

The issues are there for Trump to practically blow this election up if he would only do some homework and stay on the subjects of immigration, one-sided trade agreements, TPP, H1-Bs, etc., etc.

I agree that Trump needs to get rid of his personal attack and bragadocious mode and get serious. Talk issues. Talk results of principles. Attack what politicians have done and promise to do.

Pleeeeeeez Donald.
