SHOCK: JERRY BROWN USED STATE EXPERTS TO SEEK OIL ON FAMILY LAND

California governor Jerry Brown used state experts to prepare a 51-page report on the prospects for oil development on his family's private land in Northern California, according to an Associated Press investigation released early Thursday morning.

"Senior staffers in the state's oil and gas regulatory agency over at least two days produced a 51-page historical report and geological assessment, plus a personalized satellite-imaged geological and oil and gas drilling map for the area around Brown's family ranchland near the town of Williams," the AP reported.

Brown's office declined to comment, referring the AP instead to the California Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources, which said that the agency had responded to the governor's request for information as it would have for any other citizen.

Oil company executives and industry executives found that hard to believe, however: "they never heard of regulators carrying out and compiling that kind of research, analysis and mapping for private individuals."

Roland Bain, a petroleum geologist, told the AP: "Anyone calling in for help is not going to get that."

Others who saw the maps of Brown's property praised their detail, calling them "beautiful." The AP used the state's open records law to obtain the maps, as well as email correspondence confirming the governor's unusual request.

I’m less surprised that he used state employees as his personal servants — that’s par for the course for a Lib government hack. I’m more surprised that he was looking for evil oil on his land. Was he — gasp — going to try to profit from it?!?!?!?

Will there be consequences for Gov Moonbeam?

Hell no. Liberals are untouchable. No wonder they’re transforming into tyrants.

“Over the past few years, as Brown has resisted calls by left-wing groups to ban hydraulic fracturing (fracking) in California, he has faced accusations that he has financial interests in the oil industry. Brown’s support for fracking seemed to contradict his push against fossil fuel use as part of his policy on climate change.”

The land in question is 2600 acres in Northeastern California.

Family dirt that goes back a few generations.

The clown makes sure that everyone else’s property is up for grabs by the illegals and the Occupy Everything thugs.

But his dirt is sacred. Bet he has armed guards.

The Bear Flag Republic started with Anglos (er, the Americans) squatting on Spanish Land Grants because they did not care what the Spanish King said was his - he claimed the entire Western Hemisphere anyway. That’s why much of Sonoma County was dislodged from Mariano Vallejo’s land grant (250,000 acres or so).

The same should happen to Brown. Occupy Brown Land Now!

Viva La Raza and all that.

See how “welcoming” the SOB is when it’s HIS land that’s being invaded.

That would make him a hypocrite.....impossible! (In my best John Lovett voice) He's just having it removed so there's no chance of it ever destroying the environment. Yeah, that's the ticket.

It’s California government. It has almost always been corrupt. The former Legislative leader Jesse Unruh was famous for his quip that “California has the best damned government money can buy!”....

and going way back almost to the state’s beginning,

Governor Leland Stanford (in the 1860’s when he was both governor AND President/part owner of the Central Pacific Railroad corporation at the same time), called the California State government’ geologist into the governor’ office and had him prepare a report the RR then submitted to the fedral government seeking more federal connstruction subsidies for the RR company. (The subsidy for each mile of track built in or through mountains was triple the regular amount for tracks on flat land, the report Stanford had prepared claimed that the Sierra Nevada mountains included territory as far west as Arcade Creek just north a few miles from the governor’s office in the nice, flat Sacramento flood zone. It is from this event that Stanford acquired the reputation of being a “man who can move mountains,” incidentally.)

Ultimately, Governor Reagan became a small footnote in CA state government: had more real impact as the host of ‘’Death Valley Days’’ until he bowed out of that gig to run for governor. And they dumped poor Stanley Andrews (”The Old Ranger”) to find a place for Reagan.

I think the governor should be presented with a bill from the state for this and all the appropriate laws enforced on him that he broak.
