Julian Hernandez was reported missing by his mother in August 2002 when he was 5 years old. He is now 18.

It was suspected at the time that Julian's father, Bobby Hernandez, took the child.

Very sad as the Mom can never get back those years.

I don’t know enough of this case to make any judgment about either the mother or father. Maybe mom was a crack whore or dad was a pedophile.

Yeah, I know, it doesn’t really give us any background on the family. But it is a sad thing.

Would be good to know what the background is, maybe the dad did the right thing, could the kid not find a way to get in touch with anyone for 15 years? Unless maybe he wanted to be with his dad and away from his mom? My daughter at three said her only worry was daddy would find someone nice and move away.

That the kid is still kickin’ is a good thing.

Same here.

I often wonder about these cases. Too often the judge favors the mother for custody, and I am sure there are many cases in which the mother should not have the child.

But, like you, I don’t know anything about this case.
