My insurance went up $1000 for annual deductible and increased $1000 max out of pocket. It now costs me $12,000 a year for the right to pay an additional $7500 a year before I see any real benefit.
Similar here. It’s basically worthless.
On the other hand, I’ve had good luck with paying cash to doctors and hospitals at lower prices.
Maybe getting rid of most insurance altogether would not be so bad. Keeping a catastrophic plan or just plain old life insurance would do.
