Cruz leads effort to sanction the group
Lawmakers in both houses of Congress filed legislation on Tuesday that would formally designate the Muslim Brotherhood a sanctioned terrorist organization, according to an advance copy of the legislation obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
The legislation outlines the Brotherhood’s long history of sponsoring terrorism and outlines congressional support for it to be designated a global terrorist outfit. The bill also would force Secretary of State John Kerry to explain why the Obama administration has been hesitant to label the Brotherhood a terrorist group.
The Brotherhood’s political wing has been banned in Egypt, where affiliates of the organization overthrew the government and then violently cracked down on its opposition, the United States has avoided labeling the organization a sponsor of terrorism.
Those screams of protest you hear are from Obama, Clinton, Jarrett, Huma and all other muzzie friendly terrorist supporters in the White Mosque.
This could get good.

Maybe because the Obama administration tried and, for a time, succeeded in putting the Muslim Brotherhood in power in Egypt, all the while runing around saying it was a victory for democracy.
It’s a sure bet that they won’t get Obama to tear up his membership card in the Muslim Brotherhood.

(the MB has been promoting and doing terrorism since its founding almost a century ago, so this also isn’t news... Obama’s first speech was not in America, it was in Egypt where he coerced the government there to let the MB out of jail.. after which he or his backers promoted the MB to take over the government. It was a miracle that the Egyptian people were able to take their govt back again....once dictators get into power it can be quite difficult to dislodge them)
That shall put Congress at loggerheads with the Current Regime, which has been using the Muslim Brotherhood as the engine of change in the Middle East.
Demolition of the existing order is a kind of change, I guess.
Approximately 75% of all the unrest in the Middle East is coming directly from the actions of the Muslim Brotherhood. Two of its major franchises, al Qaeda and ISIS, are currently de facto allies of the Current Regime, but this is something that must be openly spoken of in the halls of power.

Hell, I’d be OK with Congress ignoring the Muslim Brotherhood, and instead declare the Kenyan Regime a Terrorist Organization.
