That picture of Gore has never made much sense to me. What was he doing? Modeling clothing? Look at him, everything is perfect, not a wrinkle anywhere. There is not a spot on him anywhere. The knees don’t have mark on then nor the elbows. It looks like he is wearing tailored clothing.

Stock photo to later be offered up to the gullible as evidence of service in Vietnam when he ran for office...

That pack was probably stuffed with newspaper too.

Read the `ol man had told Al who wanted to avoid

the draft to take the tour of VN and he would have

bodyguards follow him.Strictly to enhance his political

future he went.

The idiot most likely never had a loaded weapon in VN.

Back when Gore was running and that picture came out, a Vietnam vet on FR listed all the things wrong with the picture, starting with all the crap that he was packing that no combat soldier would. He tied everything he could onto his pack and wore his hot rainsuit, etc.

Many were stationed at permanent relatively secure sites. Vietnamese maids were available who included doing laundry among their duties. For about three dollars a month a soldier would have available a clean and starched uniform every day, or if, for example, he was a duty driver during the monsoon season, several times a day.
