Yes I can see basically a “Section 8” for employment, where the company pays the worker a smaller wage and the government picks up the difference.

That won’t be enough. Democrats will want hard working honest people fired so lowlife criminals can take their jobs.

That is how democrats think....

So a convicted and released pedophile working at your kids or grand kids daycare is cool?

Or the serial domestic abuser or someone with a violent assault conviction working in a nursing home would be okay with you?

Background checks should stop this but what happens when they ban background checks as racist or whatever liberal idiocy of the day is used to end them?

Another EO from the American hating usurper. This way he can hire any number of criminals and no one would be able to question it.

Ban The Box. Well it is about time. Prison is hard enough Ban the Box!

Them clothes got laundry numbers on them. You remember your number and always wear the ones that has your number. Any man forgets his number spends a night in the box. These here spoons you keep with you. Any man loses his spoon spends a night in the box. There’s no playing grab-ass or fighting in the building. You got a grudge against another man, you fight him Saturday afternoon. Any man playing grab-ass or fighting in the building spends a night in the box. First bell’s at five minutes of eight when you will get in your bunk. Last bell is at eight. Any man not in his bunk at eight spends the night in the box. There is no smoking in the prone position in bed. To smoke you must have both legs over the side of your bunk. Any man caught smoking in the prone position in bed... spends a night in the box. You get two sheets. Every Saturday, you put the clean sheet on the top... the top sheet on the bottom... and the bottom sheet you turn in to the laundry boy. Any man turns in the wrong sheet spends a night in the box. No one’ll sit in the bunks with dirty pants on. Any man with dirty pants on sitting on the bunks spends a night in the box. Any man don’t bring back his empty pop bottle spends a night in the box. Any man loud talking spends a night in the box. You got questions, you come to me. I’m Carr, the floor walker. I’m responsible for order in here. Any man don’t keep order spends a night in... the Box

Felons develop a “no snitch” attitude in prison which results in them not taking responsibility for small errors after prison, and certainly not tolerating anyone identifying them as the culprit in the error. It can be disruptive in the workplace.

I totally agree. Decades ago we lived in Marin county just
north of San Francisco, the most liberal and richest country in the west, which is one of the reasons we left!

We would see cons waiting for the local bus after being released from San Quentin with what was on their backs and a few bucks, knowing that the future was not bright for those
released. They could never start over with their jackets hanging over their heads.

These days that conviction follows you the rest of your life. Yes, I understand "don't do the crime..." and all that but still, we have about 1% of our population incarcerated. That's a lot of people. The vast majority of them will be released at some point. If we don't give them the opportunity to become productive members of society, they're not going to simply lie down and starve to death.

In the old days, reformed prisoners found work in restaurants, landscaping, manual labor picking crops, etc and once Donald sends the illegals packing there will millions of those jobs available. Problem solved.

Many people who have been charged with a crime are innocent but can’t afford a good lawyer so have to plead guilty or their court appointed lawyer is terrible.
