The Russians hit Raqqa HARD this morning, with the twitterverse reporting over 25 different airstrikes.
We have FAR more assets in the area than the Russians do, and how many strikes have we done against Raqqa??
I figured the Russian would press eastward once they worked their way through the rebels in the west and around Aleppo
Palymya and Raqqa, 2 ISIS strongholds soon to be wiped out by Russian air, assuming the Syrian and Iranian armies can keep pace. One report also indicated Shia Iraqi militia moved into Syria to assist - they will chase ISIS into Turkey (set up for the Kurds) and Iraq... question is whether Russian will start bombing to support Iraqi ground ops vs ISIL in Iraq. They probably have been invited by an Iraqi govt discovering how much it has been betrayed by the US govt sham war and support of ISIL. At minimum the Russian will be giving the Iraqis intelligence about where to find ISIL assets
Do you see a giant collapse and hear a giant sucking sound in Iraq where the US presence once stood, fought and gained by the blood of thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis??
