Where in the five stages of loss acceptance is Jeb Bush?

Psychologists say there are five stages of loss and grief. I was wondering what stage Jeb Bush, given his rapidly declining campaign, happens to be in?

Stage 1: Denial and Isolation

This stage is about denying the reality of the situation. I think this stage has already come and gone. Jeb has been saying for months how well his campaign has been doing. He doesn't say that anymore.

Stage 2: Anger

As the masking effects of denial and isolation begin to wear, reality and its pain re-emerge. We are not ready. The intense emotion is deflected from our vulnerable core, redirected and expressed instead as anger. The anger may be aimed at inanimate objects, complete strangers, friends or...

Marco Rubio. Bush blames Marco Rubio for holding his own campaign back, since both are competing for the same base of support. Bush probably feels some jealousy that a younger, more handsome, more Hispanic candidate than himself is polling better than he is, and perhaps that explains why he lashed out at him during the last debate.

It’s obviously denial, what’s the next stage, negotiating?

He keeps reminding us how other candidates in other elections were not leading at this point and went on to be crowned the nominee. Scary.

You know, it is not just Bush who is undergoing this process. The entire cabal around him, that is, GOPe, is doing it together. I think GOPe is in stage 2, anger, while Bush may be in stage 3, negotiation. Neither has reached the stage 4 yet, the full-blown depression.

The establishment refuse to acknowledge that illegal immigration is determining who is ahead.

They still act like people will just forget all about it and switch to RINO!

Jeb has that complete ‘loser’ look in his eyes,

He cannot believe voters dont see how completely perfect of a GOPe candidate he is,

Surely hes the most presidential and stands up taller than all the others,

play the hooded Grim Reaper

With goofy smile and a Mexican wife. That lightens up the movie a bit, I think.:-)

Is it really a loss for someone who does not want the job?

This brings up an important point.

I believe that Trump will survive and win the nomination. That said, once won. Will the GOPe continue to fight against the winner if its not one of their people?

A fractured party will lose.

That is why I think that there might be better running mates out there. I think that Trump when the time comes will pull in Rubio as VP in an effort to shore up the GOP’s fractured elements.

If even after that if the GOPe try to ruin the campaign....then we go to option #2

Pitchforks and Torches.

Until he makes “the speech” he is in denial.

I know lots of people here will be very unhappy about that. Still having Rubio as VP may have to be given some consideration. Of course after Trump winning a resounding victory. The victory has to be convincing in order for this card to be viable.

He’d ruin his chances of winning the general by picking an amnesty pimp. Pretty sure he knows that.

At least Romney looked like a President - I can't imagine anybody seeing this guy as White House material.
