What is with the those Euro (currency) looking symbols that have been showing up in the posted articles? I thought it was my ipad but Im seeing them here at work, too..
Just started last week. Can’t get rid of it.
When text is copied from elsewhere and pasted here, the slanted type apostrophes in the copied text are rendering as a group of symbols.
If the copied text contains the strictly vertical apostrophes (and if you type text in yourself), then it renders correctly.
I’m not sure what’s causing the white question marks in the black diamonds (it looks like a space bar issue). Those aren’t caused by the slanted apostrophes, but they also appear in copied and pasted text, so there’s something in the text that FR is not recognizing and rendering properly.
No kidding - annoying! I’m getting them all of the place, and little question marks encased in a diamond shape. Makes reading a little challenge at times.
Why have they suddenly appeared?
They’re apostrophes, commas, quotes and other “special characters” that will render ok in the post text entry window but the FR software doesn’t know how to properly convert for actual display in a post.
The workaround is to strip them out and replace manually, by handkeying after copying and pasting.
