Hard to say. From what I’ve heard locally, he sounds like a messed up human being.
History of severe drug and alcohol abuse, got religion, cleaned up his life and then had some sort of relapse. His last post on the interwebs was that he was logged into a porn site.
Looks like a man that wanted to die but didn’t have the courage to pull the trigger himself.
He wanted the cops to end his unhappy life for him.
Which had nothing to do with the availability of guns.
âTo the depth I am ignorant of the Bible, and it is a depth, I also admit it is an unfortunate but intentional ignorance to this point in my life. It is because of Golden Jesus Unicorns and people think theyââ¬â¢re real, literally, that I have found it so easy to dismiss whatever might be contained in the pages.â

That statement from his blog post puts some interesting light on his spirituality in the context of his psychotic break.
It's been reported that he recently stopped going to AA meetings. Given the ensuing events, it's not unreasonable to wonder if he'd returned to self-medication. That would be especially problematic in the context of interactions with, and/or withdrawl from, psychotropic medications typically prescribed these days for... well, everything.
Meanwhile itâs not surprising the left is, as usual, using this an opportunity to manufacture the image of âJust Another Christian Gun Nutâ.
