You can’t shoot to wound. Guys have been shot in the skull or chest in combat and lived, others shot in the leg or arm have died in a few minutes, if it hits a main artery or vein (bleed out).
You can never tell. When you shoot someone, it’s always a kill shot. If the shot person lives, they’re lucky.
I’m not certain, but I think you misunderstood my comment ... maybe I wasn’t clear. I was saying that the step son’s statement to shoot to wound was an eye-roller. Wounding someone who is holding a gun and threatening you is a terrible strategy, since they will still be able to fire their gun. I don’t know where these idiots come up with this logic, but I read similar comments from time to time, from the friends and family of someone that gets put down while they are in the commission of a felony.
