Jeb Bush Says He Was Unaware of Rubio PowerPoint Deck
New York Times ^ | November 1, 2015 | Maggie Haberman

Posted on 11/01/2015 3:00:49 PM PST by maggief

In an interview that aired on Sunday, Jeb Bush said that he was unaware of a PowerPoint presentation his aides put together raising questions about his rival, Senator Marco Rubio, volunteered that he'd "kill" for his father, and said he has questions about the use of the death penalty.

Mr. Bush made the comments in an interview with Chuck Todd of "Meet the Press" on NBC News, as Mr. Rubio appeared on "Face the Nation" on CBS News and sought to rise above the fray.

(snip)

He kept his comments about Mr. Rubio fairly gentle, after being criticized by some Republicans for going after him in the debate. He said he had not seen the PowerPoint slides his team prepared that raised questions about Mr. Rubio's past and called him the "GOP Obama." He said he did not learn of the slides, which were part of a long memo, until it was leaked to the U.S. News and World Report.

"I didn't see it," Mr. Bush said. He demurred when asked if he wanted his campaign aides to stay away from such contrasts.

Powerpoint from the "Jeb Celebration," headlined by George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush, and Jeb didn't see it.

Yet, he insists "I'm my own man."

Another lying politician. I sure hope he isn’t the nominee but it wouldn’t surprise me.

"Jeb Bush said he'd "kill" for his father"

After reminded about the war on women, Bush later added, "If necessary, I'd nuke Houston for my mother".

The more we hear from Jeb, the more I think he is playing with less than a full deck.

"I didn't see it," Mr. Bush said.

Right, right, right. The first you heard about it was on the news. We've heard it all before Jebito Obama.

Jeb seems to miss a lot.

They must put him into a state of suspended animation and revive him for the debates.

Could explain the low energy.

Normally, I’d say hogwash, he’s lying, but the more I hear Jeb, the more I think there are some real cognitive and/or mental problems going on with him..

Yeah right Jebby, we know...your a liar, we understand that you are what you think you are, but actually your NUTS!!!

It’s funny how the other candidates know what is going out about them, but somehow you didn’t know? What, are you taking lessons from Hillary now how to cheat, lie, and steal? When will the ‘blood sheading’ come along or has it already?

Go home, America doesn’t want you!!!

So, he would unilaterally kill for his father, but is ambivalent about the death penalty imposed by a deliberative jury of 12.

I guess like any elitist, Jeb knows better than us peons, who should live or die. Guess that explains the whole Terri Schiavo thing.

Bush doesn’t know what’s going on in his own organization? Not exactly a good sign for someone who wants to be promoted to lead a much larger org.
