I remember an instance in one locale during the ‘90s. A Sheriff’s deputy had sex with a jail inmate, and there was much local publicity about it. The deputy was not charged with anything, and he kept his job. Considering today’s regime of political folks with government incomes pushing for more local corruption, there have probably been many unrecorded occurrences like that around the country.
