There are photos of the plane in the air showing a large explosion at the rear section of the plane, more consistent with a bomb in the cargo section than aircraft failure or attack by a missile.
This aircraft had a tail strike on the runway during a previous flight years ago.. It was ‘repaired’ but perhaps serious internal cracks caused this break up. No tail, no ability to fly.
So it’s the Ozone Hole and Global Warming (and Bush’s) fault.
Bomb or missile larger than MANPADS.
I don’t know. A plane falling out of the sky under suspicious circumstances in that part of the world. Call me cynical, but as much as I want to believe it was mechanical in nature, I suspect otherwise and think the plane was intentionally brought down.
“No possible cause” for the breakup.
I could think of a half dozen, but almost every one of them involves some form of sabotage, or action by an external agent of some kind.
Some things can be ruled out immediately. No co-pilot gone bonkers, locking the rest of the aircrew out of the cabin, and shoving control yoke full forward, shouting “Allahu Akbar!” until the aircraft smacked into the surface.

2. We allow bombs to be placed on planes in our country.
3. We wuz shot down.
Bribes are common flying in/out of Sharm El Shek.
Back in ‘99 I had reservations and paid tickets and still had to bribe someone to get on the plane

The photos of the crash site I’ve seen show the forward
fuselage and wings together, one would think a high
altitude break up would preclude that happening.
Eerily similar to TWA 800. Perhaps it was mechanical failure, perhaps terrorism. What is important here is that ISIS immediately took credit, and this is a poke in the eye to Putin, which he will feel compelled to respond to.
Unlike what Obama would do if it were our plane, Putin’s response will no doubt have a retaliatory, punitive flavor. Without apologies.
Just read a new report saying authorities are backing off statement that it was definitely a mechanical cause.
While it’s possible for some type of missle to reach it, I think if it’s terrorism it’s some kind of bomb on board. No SOS, no report of mech difficulty. Lockerbie? TWA 800?
