I agree and if a debate utilized language and speaking style at a dot orate level 90% of your audience would tune out. I don’t think the liberal media “gets it.” The people want plainly spoken people with a simple solution behind simple messages.
I used to write technical literature and found that the more precise/complex the wording I chose, the greater chance the reader’s vocabulary would impede communicating. At the same time, broader or more general language would be inadequate for transmitting the information. And I decided that Ernest Hemingway wrote using children’s alphabet blocks.
