If you have young family members out trying to find work, you know the job situation here.
I don’t believe most restaurants are hiring illegals, not for a minute. But if they are, and they lose any hire help, those positions would be filled that same day by Americans who want to work.
One thing I do notice. We put in place endless labor regulations, and then undercut those regulations with illegal labor. That I see a lot. Its a kind of hypocrisy.
My line of work requires me to call different chain restaurants.
I can’t begin to tell you how many Taco Bell’s and Wendy’s have managers that do not speak English. I don’t know if they are illegal but I do know that when I call they have to find someone that speaks English to translate what I am saying to them.
I have no issues with Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s or the sit down restaurants like Chili’s or Longhorn.
