See special reports on the Texas biker brawl from CNN's Ed Lavandera during "Erin Burnett OutFront" and "Anderson Cooper 360" at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET Thursday.
Waco, Texas (CNN)After the guns fell silent on May 17 -- one of the bloodiest afternoons in the history of American motorcycle clubs -- nine bikers lay dead in a strip mall parking lot littered with weapons.
Many more were injured, bleeding from gunshots and knife wounds. A police officer asked what every other cop there must have wondered at that moment: How many of you are armed?
"I asked anybody who had a gun to raise their hand," Waco Officer Ryan Holt wrote in a police report obtained by CNN.
Nearly everybody did.

They’re going big on the gun aspect of it. Watch them use it to push gun control.
I smell a “gunshow loophole” angle to their gun assault.
I believe that outlaw bikers who commit crimes should be locked away, or better, hanged.
However, I have been in a few gunfights in my day, and except for the scantily clad waitresses, I see some very familiar behavior.
1. Everyone is looking in the direction of the shooting. That’s what you do. They are looking in the direction of where we know were the law enforcement officers.
2. If you are armed, you return fire. Again they are all shooting in the direct of where we know the LEO were posted.
3. Gunfights usually start with everyone minding their own business, and then someone starts shooting. Everything that I am seeing in this video is a reaction to the first shooting.
Did information ever surfaced about the types of projectiles associated with gunshots at the scene, fatal and non-fatal? (As in, pistol versus rifle bullets). This video release makes little sense for a defense team to leak it, and has a “hey, look over here!” feeling. Is something emerging that someone wants to distract from?
“Everything that I am seeing in this video is a reaction to the first shooting.”
Or flashbang
No, that could you get killed. You look in the direction of direct fire, that’s where you find the threat. It doesn’t take long to learn the difference.
Nope. There is an ME report that purports to discern small or medium caliber from the wounds; but no ballistics have been released.
And if they were indeed piling the guns in the back of a pickup truck, chain of custody of evidence would seem to be problematic.
How many cops raised their hands?
I only saw one person fire a gun in these videos.
Had I been the restaurant owner, the picture of the guy running through my restaurant firing a pistol would be grounds for me to pay a healthy reward to the first cop who too him out.
Yes, I should have said looking in the direction, rather than shooting in the direct. My mistake.
A hit contract carried out by a cop? Hey, why not?
There’s no rule of law left in this banana republic is there?
Might work better if the restaurant owner hadn’t ignored
the cop’s previous warning to forgo biker events.
That I did see. It somewhat goes against previous claims that the fight started inside the restaurant and moved out to the parking lot. It looked more like people were heading inside seeking safety from the fight.
“Might work better if the restaurant owner hadnât ignored
the copâs previous warning to forgo biker events.”
Why would the restaurant owner do that? They knew there had been no problems in the last 20 years of these conferences. The place is there to serve the public and make a profit and keep their people working and making money.
This is the only time anything like this has happened at one of these meetings and interestingly; the only time a whole bunch of cops were on the scene.
So the cops wanted to mimic mafioso and Union thug tactics?
“Nice restaurant you have here...would be a shame if a bunch of “us” showed up and instigated a massacre.”
BTW-don’t let any of those subversive TEA Party groups book a venue either....
I’m not arguing that point simply responding to the suggestion made by the poster I responded to.
I don't know about that. It was just one poster's suggestion.
The “poster” being you, I’m having a hard time comprehending why you don’t stand by your own “suggestion”.
