They used the same tactic with Dole, McCain, Romney and three of the Bushes.
Only two out of that bunch ever made it to get elected. And all of them have been proven to be GOPe suck-ups.

I believe I have seen this before:
Pollster: Here — he says he’s not dead!
GOP: Yes, he is.
Jeb: I’m not!
Pollster: He isn’t.
GOP: Well, he will be soon, he’s very ill.
Jeb: I’m getting better!
GOP: No, you’re not — you’ll be stone dead in a moment.
Pollster: Oh, I can’t take him like that — it’s against regulations.
Jeb: I don’t want to go in the cart!
GOP: Oh, don’t be such a baby.
Pollster: I can’t take him...
Jeb: I feel fine!
GOP: Oh, do us a favor...
Pollster: I can’t.
GOP: Well, can you hang around a couple of minutes? He won’t
be long.
Pollster: Naaah, I got to go on to Robinson’s — they’ve lost nine
today.
GOP: Well, when is your next round?
Pollster: Thursday.
Jeb: I think I’ll go for a walk.
GOP: You’re not fooling anyone y’know. Look, isn’t there something you can do?
Jeb: I feel happy... I feel happy.
[whop]
Of course it's not. Why give life support to a completely terminal patient?
Jeb, the party’s over.

His campaign is starving to death. At least its a euphoric way to go.
“We have the most money, we have the greatest organization”
Yeah, but Jeb, your campaign also has the worst candidate. Your campaign’s candidate was pathetic in the Boulder debate. He was flat, weak, distracted, even lost, and didn’t catch on to what all the others figured out after Cruz called out Carl Quintanilla for his “when did you stop beating your wife questions”, namely, ignore their questions and say whatever the hell they wanted to say in their allotted time. Also, your campaign’s candidate didn’t once fight for more speaking time, and ended up with the second least amount of time, with only Paul having less.
And your campaign’s candidate spent most of his time repeatedly yammering about what a wonderful gov he was, repeating these same things that he repeated ad nauseum in the earlier debates. Most of the rest of the candidates spent their time saying NEW things that they had never said in previous debates. Your campaign’s candidate really reminded me of a high-school debater who had a bunch of memorized facts and figures to spout when it became his turn to say something.
Yeah, its frustrating. But once I had my “rock bottom “ moment a few months ago, things started getting better. Electoral politics is dead to me, and I’m a lot happier as a result.

Amazing. This is PR 101 stuff - you never include the negative phrase (”on life support”) in your answer, because that’s all anybody is going to hear.
PeRino was fine until Trump appeared on the scene and kept leading in the polls. I have never seen her so angry, and slurring her words, and blood coming out of her eyes, when the Five were discussing Trump’s high poll numbers.
Like I said when Jeb entered the race. He should always listen to his Mom!
