John Boehner, whoâs leaving office and his speaker role at the end of this month, took a sideswipe at conservative media â and right-leaning talk-radio hosts in particular â and said itâs such influences that led to his political downfall.
âUnderstand whatâs going on here,â Boehner said, addressing questions about the pressure heâs faced from conservatives in recent years, Bloomberg reported.
He then spoke of the hundreds of radio hosts âtrying to out-right each otherâ who, when combined with active social media posters, cause unnecessary turmoil and confusion over political and cultural matters.
â[Such has bolstered] the ability of a small group of members, or some small outside organizations, to stir up antics or mislead people,â Boehner said, during an office chat with reporters on Capitol Hill, Bloomberg reported.
Boehner also said the speakerâs office âis the loneliest place in the world, almost as lonely as the presidencyâ because it isolates âyou away from friends and family,â Bloomberg reported.

Oh, please Boehner. You sold out the American people! You turned the House into an arm of the Obama Admin.

Heâs also a closet chain-smoker, fond of the Barclayâs brand, rumored to be able to suck half a pack down in a matter of minutes if given a proper recess.
The son of a bar owner, Boehner worked alongside his father mopping the floors at Andyâs Café when he was in elementary school. Perhaps thatâs where he first developed his taste for booze, but today, Congressman Boehner resembles a modern day Dean Martin of sorts, even leading a social life the legendary crooner would envy.
Heâs made a name for himself with his legendary late-night parties which he first began throwing at the 1996 Republican National Convention. Nicknamed the âBest Little Warehouseâ party, Boehner, (along with Bruce Gates, a tax lobbyist with Washington Council Ernst & Young and head of Mr. Boehnerâs Freedom Project PAC and prominent lobbyist Henry Gandy) are known for throwing a party at the RNC that runs multiple days, often lasts until dawn and exceeds $100,000.
When Boehner replaced Tom Delay and was elected as Majority Leader back in 2006, disclosure reports filed with the FEC show that Boehner (or his representatives), spent $1,465 at the âclassyâ liquor store Schneiderâs of Capitol Hill on February 3rd, the very next day after he was elected as leader. Clearly a celebration was in order. The bill was paid by Boehnerâs slush fund, errr leadership PAC, The Freedom Project.
At the Convention, Boehner gave two awkward, drunken speeches that were embarrassing, somewhat uncomfortable, and confusing at best for those in attendance. The man could not pronounce a name if his life depended on it.(Click For More)

Boehnerâs drinking problem â ignored by the mainstream media â received a bit of coverage on a Washington, D.C. blog earlier this year.
âThose who know Boehner best say he does tip more than a few from time to time and some of his drunken binges are poorly-kept secrets on Capitol Hill,â the blog, Capitol Hill Blue noted. âEach day, the email to Capitol Hill Blue is filled with stories about Boehnerâs after-hours partying exploits.â
During a trip to Washington, D.C. earlier this year, FITS heard many of these stories ⦠with specific references to the Capitol Hill Club.
Boehner isnât just a drunk, either, heâs allegedly an âinveterate skirt-chaser whoâs had numerous affairs,â according to Down With Tyranny, another Washington, D.C. blog. In fact one lawmaker told us on our recent Washington trip that Boehner â married since 1973 â was forced to narrow his number of regular lobbyist lovers from three down to one when it became evident he was in line to become Speaker in 2010.(Click To read More)

It would be nice to know that Rush and Levin and Hannity and even Savage are having a salutary effect.

The last person to complain heavily about talk radio was Bill Clinton.
He hated the fact that there was no truth-detector that would come on after Rush and all had their say.
Boehner, you be sound'n jes like Bubba.

Mister Boehner is responsible for his own downfall.
Boehner's sequester has been regarded as a gift to the Dems.
The Dems use Boehner's sequester to disarm and demoralize our precious Military, among other undesirable things.
When Boehner gives up the gavel, it is actually a forfeit; and, Boehner should feel deservedly humiliated.

Yea thats true but he was a ‘lesser’ evil” and we had to elect him “no matter what” according to the liberals here.
Which means that they too sold out their country and Constitution. And boy does it upset them that people noticed.

Boy, they really do believe we’re mind-numbed robots. If we hate them and their agenda, must be planted thoughts. We could never see all this on our own.
