Rand Paul said Tuesday he would filibuster bipartisan budget deal reached by the White House and congressional Republicans, setting up a fight between the presidential candidate and GOP leadership.
The agreement would also raise the debt ceiling, to ensure the U.S. does not default.
The Kentucky senator told reporters in Colorado that he would do "everything I can to stop it."
"It is hard for me not to use profanity in describing it," he said. "We should be using the leverage of the debt ceiling to actually enforce spending restraint."

Damn right! However, your fellow Republicans do not want to restrain spending in any way ... so you’re kind of on your own.
Sad to say Rand Paul is one of the few in Congress who seem to get it on the financial stuff.
I think Rand Paul will make a big move soon. Not only is his filibuster on the binge spending 20 trillion dollar deficit producing budget WONDERFUL but millions will flock to him over the war in Syria /Iraq /islamic State. Millions don’t want any ground troops there at all!! We tried that and it was for nothing!! The Russians are there killing ISIS right now!! Assad never did anything to the United States. We are not the police of the world and we are BROKE AS HELL. obama sending in ground troop in is madness. Are we going to fight with the Russians or against Russia. Have we lost our collective minds? Rand Paul will now surge. Take that to the bank.
He should have the same stance whether he is running for President or not. Something called integrity.
