Slain NYPD Officer Randolph Holder’s fiancée was stunned to hear that the Rev. Al Sharpton was asked to speak at his funeral — because the policeman detested the anti-cop preacher, she told The Post on Monday.

“He didn’t like [Sharpton]. He wasn’t a fan. So I don’t know why [Sharpton] is speaking,’’ Mary Muhammad said.

Sharpton claims that he met with Holder’s father and that the dad asked him to speak at Wednesday’s service.

On Saturday, Sharpton made a condolence call at the elder Holder’s home in Far Rockaway and tweeted a photo of himself with Holder and other family members.

“[Sharpton] was asked by Officer Holder’s father, and he’s expected to speak,” Sharpton rep John Weinstein said Monday.

But law-enforcement sources said Holder’s dad, Randolph Sr., called the NYPD on Monday morning — after news of Sharpton’s supposed invite broke — to tell them he invited the preacher only to attend the funeral, not to address mourners.

The sources added that Sharpton would not be speaking at the service.

I don’t generally like to criticize those who are mourning the loss of a loved one but Mr. Holder must be a moron to invite one of the main protagonists against the NYPD and police in general to the funeral of a slain cop.

The dad is not thinking straight. Sharpton turned on the charm(I guess he has it) and the distraught father fell in the trap. Sharpton is a first rate user.

Holder’s dad is probably intimidated. Good law abiding blacks - of whom I know many - feel that they have to apologize to the (mostly white) media for their positions, and I think that Holder’s dad probably invited Sharpton as cover.

When the terrible news of this officer's murder was first broadcast, local NYC news crews went to his neighborhood and interviewed the neighbors. All were black with connections to West Indies. Their comments were in line with the recent comments of Freepers. One older woman expressed outrage at "the animals who have nothing better to do than destroy life."

Something's amiss here because these people are hardworking doers, law-abiding, and moral. I suspect Mr. Holder was sweet-talked by Al Charlatan. This appearance may come back to bite Al in his formally fat ass.
