Thanks........ I think......
Thanks for all the updates, Mom. Work has got me stretched really thin, so I’ll check back in on Saturday this week.
How many Freepers usually attend this event?
It varies year to year. The average is 25.
Does one bring their own guns or are there enough to shoot if one pitches in for ammo?
Out of state love and prayers....miss you Texascowboy
Yes to both, except the pitching in for ammo.
Yes
Yes
and ammo donations are always welcome
How long is the shoot? For the weekend?
Some of us get together Thursday night; others join us on Friday. Friday night includes cooking dinner, margaritas and lots of laughter.
We meet at the range at 10:00 and usually shoot until around 1:00 or 1:30, then have lunch at the range. After lunch folks head back for to wherever we are staying to prepare for a repeat of Friday night.
Thanks!
Let me know if you have any more questions. I’ll do my best to confuse you.
No problem, when do we need to sign up by?
I’ll post the details a bit later in the month. Would you like me to add you to the TCMS ping list.
Yes, please do. Thanks.
Done.
Please add me to the ping list. I’ve wanted to attend the last couple of shoots and have been prevented by health issues.
Done.
I have reserved the entire resort at Cherokee Village Resort, in Whitney, for October 6 ~ 9, 2015. When calling to make a reservation, mention that you are with the TexasCowboy group. The owners have given us until February 15th to make reservations, after that date they will open rooms/cottages to the public. You will have to make a deposit equal to a one night stay.
The shoot will be held at Hicksville Gun Range, in Gatesville, starting at 10:00 a.m. on the 8th. Eaker, humblegunner & I checked out the range recently, and chatted with the owners. They said there would be no problem with setting up lunch on the property. As a bonus, the range has a deaf dog that likes to catch rocks and hang out on the firing line.
