The girl had been asked to put away her cell phone and when she didn’t authorities were called in from the principal to the police officer. Then she refused still. With the excuse of “I didn’t hurt anyone you can’t do this to me”. “Cops are supposed to help, not hurt, people”. They are learning at a young age to defy authority and it disgusts me. Nothing wrong with defying authority when you are right, but when you are clearly wrong, it is not acceptable. There will be no law and order pretty soon. I always thought if I were a teacher I would confiscate ALL cell phones until the end of class, but I guess I wouldn’t be allowed to after all.
Look up Tommy Sotomayor on Youtube. He’ll tell you all about it.
Yes, they’re learning at an early age to defy authority. Check out this video titled “The Cop and the Crazy Girl.”

He should have taken the phone out of her hand and told her you can get it at the end of the school day. If she resisted then take her down.
Rather than judge just on the video I will wait.
Why mess with the cops?
Just make up a rule...no respect to the teacher and the principal after they tell you do something...you get five days of suspension. Rack up ten in one school year, and you don’t pass, and repeat the entire school year. I’m pretty sure that the parents will get peppy, but make it a school policy and let them take the kid elsewhere.
“Cops are supposed to help, not hurt, people”
CNN says no one was hurt. Why would an officer do what he did in front of a bunch of students and a teacher if there weren’t justification.
“There will be no law and order pretty soon. “
And shortly after, people like her will be gone because no one will put up with her BS.
